My Little Friends Box

Another great box from My Little Box! This time all about friends...

I'm all about a girl squad!! What also makes this box brilliant is that it contains food...

A lovely little snack of Propercorn Sweet & Salty - the best. Also inside is a cute nail care kit. I love the design of this, the case is a bit squidgy which I'm enjoying - a bit like a stress ball!

There is also a fish eye camera lens you can clip to your phone to take cool fish eye pics. I'm excited to give this a try. And this is what I love about My Little Box - the random gifts I would never, ever buy for myself.

After all this amazingness, we're finally onto the beauty section. This box is packed full!

Love the bag design. Inside there is...

The Kadalys Comforting Cream smells amazing. It's to soothe skin that is a bit dry and in need of TLC after having a bit too much sun over the summer. It has super hydrating Hyaluronic Acid which I adore so can't wait to give this a go.

I love the Batiste Dry Shampoos so why wouldn't I like the hairspray? I don't usually tend to use hairspray but I'm going to try to make more of an effort with my hair at the moment so this will definitely come in handy. Plus it's a great size to take away with you.

Finally, My Little Beauty's own tinted lip balm with SPF 15 for a hint of colour and sheen. Really pretty.

Wow, what a box this month. They have really crammed products inside so the value for money is epic!

Look Fantastic Best Of British #LFBestofBritish

Feeling incredibly patriotic at the moment with Team GB doing so well, so this box from Look Fantastic celebrating the best British beauty brands is just perfect.

Inside, you are in for a treat!

You get so much. From left to right in the pic above we have:

  • Bee Good Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm
  • Balance Me Congested Skin Serum
  • Percy & Reed Wonder Balm
  • Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz
  • RENU Lip and Eye Active Lift
  • REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist

Really enjoying the lip balm, it gives a sheen without being sticky in any way. I'm so excited to try the Percy and Reed Wonder Balm as I've heard such great things and I'm hoping it'll tame my summer frizz. I have tried the REN mist before and am a big fan, but this is a really handy handbag size of it. I'll keep you posted with reviews on all of the above.

Such a great box, check it out further at www.lookfantastic.com, available this month only.

A Healthy Alternative to Nutella - JimJams

I love Nutella. I was getting into a habit of spooning it out the tub every evening at one point, until I realised just how much sugar there is in it...eek! So how do you keep that most gorgeous taste without so much sugar flooding your blood stream? Enter JimJams spreads...

With a whopping 83% less sugar, this is a much better alternative to Nutella but how does it stack up in terms of texture and taste? Well I'm pleased to say the texture is pretty much the same as Nutella and the taste is still great. It's definitely not as sweet as Nutella but still hits that sweet tooth which may be craving something after a meal, like mine often does! I'm thoroughly enjoying this and don't have to worry so much about the health factor.

The guys behind JimJams initially created it for children but I know many adults who tuck into Nutella regularly so this is for you too. As well as this, they have jams and marmalade which are again things you want to enjoy but perhaps without so much sugar. It's all about balance. I have a recipe card so I'm going to be baking something soon using the hazelnut spread!

JimJams range is available in Tesco and Holland & Barrett nationwide and are just £2.79.

#TeamGB Nails

Great Britain are second, SECOND, in the Olympics table currently, and I had a Leighton Denny nail polish which would celebrate and support our amazing team very well!

This is Leighton Denny Britz and Glitz, so perfect for right now! A glitter of red, white and blue. I used a neutral base coat of Nails Inc Colville Mews and then put this over the top. Here's the result:

Keep it up Team GB!!

New Brand Alert - Artistry Make-Up

I discovered this new brand recently and keen to share their gorgeous products...

Artistry is a part of Amway, which has a whole host of beauty, health and lifestyle brands associated under their umbrella. Artistry does have skincare but it's the make-up I want to focus on today. Here's a look at their eye pencil.

I love the blender on the other end as I really like having a messed up liner look as though I've slept in it (but of course I would never do that!).

It's really soft so doesn't drag across the skin and stays put all day long so definitely a winner. It is £17.55.

Also in their range is this pretty lip gloss.

A light up lip gloss isn't anything new, and to be honest I'm rarely in anywhere dark enough for it to be useful, but I do like this colour. It has a slight shimmer, not glitter, to show that you're wearing something, but the colour is quite subtle. Really pretty. There are five different shades and they are £15.90 each.

Finally, here is a lovely eyeshadow quad palette.

This is the Plumberry quad and has really wearable shades you can build up. They have other combinations and the palette is £31.

I really recommend taking a look at their full range as they have loads. Check it all out here.

July Empties

It's August! So here are my latest empties...

The new Soft & Gentle Daily Shower Wash* is brilliant. It's a gel-like texture and foamy so it feels like it's really cleansing and can be used everywhere...everywhere. Perfect for the really humid, sticky days we've had recently.

Next, the NuSkin ageloc Transforming Night Cream* which it's really light yet leaves my skin nicely hydrated without it being sticky. There isn't much to say except it does what a night cream is supposed to do. I've absolutely loved it!

Also finished this month is the L'Oréal Miss Manga Mega Volume mascara. I'm quite fussy with my mascaras. My lashes are naturally quite long so I want volume over length, and I can't get on with false lashes so I need a mascara that it nice enough for day but can be built up to be quite dramatic. This mascara is perfect for that. Definitely re-purchasing!

Finally, the REN Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift - one of the best eye creams I've ever used. Hands down. There's a reason Sali Hughes dedicated an entire column to this one product. It is beautiful, is packed full of quality ingredients, has a lovely texture and if I've had a rough night, it definitely helps it to not show! Well done REN.
