Festival Fun - Topshop Glitter

I love festival make-up. No need to spend ages on it, just throw some glitter on and you're done! So easy. Topshop has you covered for every glitter eventuality.

Hair and body glitter in so many shades but here I have, from left to right, Periwinkle which is a white iridescent glitter, Amulet hair glitter which is very similar to Periwinkle but just in larger glitter pieces. Finally, here we have Firefly, a rainbow of gorgeous glitter!

Incredibly easy to apply, simply pat on some Vaseline or lip balm where you want the glitter to go and then dip a finger into the pot and tap on. You can build it up to be subtle glitter or a full on glitter frenzy! The only issue is you will keep finding pieces of glitter around your bedroom for a while after, but there are worse things #firstworldproblems

I used Firefly to create the below look for Stevie Wonder a few weeks ago:

All I did was a bit of mascara and foundation, then glitter along the cheekbones and messy hair - so easy! It lasted all day, even though it was quite sweaty and my sunglasses were resting around the glitter so I was really impressed.

The hair glitter is £7.50 and the other pots are £5 each.

NEW Paul & Joe 20th Anniversary Collection

As you would expect from Paul & Joe, this is all levels of pretty!

Being Paul & Joe, of course it is cat-themed. It includes the brand's most loved items over the 20 years. First up is the Pressed Compact Duo A (001) which is a pressed powder with an edge of shimmer. It was first launched for their tenth anniversary and is so popular they have brought it back for the twentieth!

Also in the collection is the Face Colour A in Cheerful Tulip. This was launched in 2005 and immediately took off with the cute kitty and wearable coral shade.

I think this is my fave! Lipstick A (025) launched in 2004 and has a panther design on the tube and is a really pretty, quite subtle shade of peachy pink.

All of this is made even prettier with a gorgeous hummingbird designed pouch which was so popular when it launched in 2006 that people queued for hours to get it!

The Paul & Joe 20th Anniversary Collection is £64 and available now!

July's My Little Box...

It's all about them coconuts this month!

Couldn't agree more Dustin! Now, the most exciting thing about this month's My Little Box is a Stella & Dot collaboration. You get this gorgeous bracelet which would retail for £18 so you've made your money back on the box simply on this one product!

There is also this beautiful passport holder which I'm definitely using...just need to book a holiday!

Next, the beauty part of the box. I am really in my element with this coconut-heavy selection!

From left to right, we have My Little Beauty Coconut Spritzer After Sun Spray (smells delicious!), Yves Rocher Noix de Coco Eau de Toilette (this is pure holidays), Merci Handy Coco Rico Hand Cleansing Gel (very handy as the name suggests!) and Ojon's Rare Blend Moisture Therapy Oil which deeply nourishes sun-parched hair.

My Little Box have redeemed themselves after last month's not so good box - I always had faith they would! Last month was just a blip. This box is great quality, can't wait to try it all out.

NARS Summer 2016 Collection - Limited Edition Do Not Disturb

The NARS Summer collection is as gorgeous as you would expect! Here I have the liquid lipstick, Do Not Disturb, to show you..

I'm a sucker for packaging and this range has it all. You don't really want to throw this outer packaging away!

The inside is simple and elegant compared to the colourful outside.

A gorgeous, deeply pigmented bold red, Do Not Disturb glides on easily and stays put after my numerous cups of tea I have every day! It definitely makes a statement and is great for those days when you're in a hurry as it makes you look 'done' instantly.

Such a classic, even though this is limited edition for the summer, it could be worn any time. It is £21 - see all about this and the rest of the collection on the NARS website.

NEW Hawaiian Tropic - SPF You Need in Your Life!

Today is the hottest day of the year so far. So SPF is even more important than ever! I love the Hawaiian Tropic range and can always rely on it to protect my pale English skin.

New additions to the brand are the Air Soft SPF and Ultra Radiance After Sun. My teenage self would have plumped for SPF 15, but I'm now an advocate for the higher the better, so here I have the SPF 50. Usually high SPFs are thick and quite difficult to blend over the skin, leaving awful white marks. But this is a dream.

It is ultra-light, more like a body lotion than a sun cream. Has lots of hydration to make a little go a long way and leave skin looking great. It also isn't too greasy. I did post about the Frezyderm SPF recently which I love and use as a facial SPF and primer, whilst this is more for the whole body. This also comes in SPF 15, 30 and 50 so something for everyone. Even better, it's now half price at just £9 here!

Next is the Ultra Radiance Ultra Sun, which soothes sun-sore skin whilst giving a subtle shimmer (it's not glittery!).

It has Shea Butter and Mango Fruit Extract for the ultimate hydration. It also has the most amazing, holiday-esque scent of mango! Only £11.99, check it out here.

Frezyderm Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF 50+

I haven't been this excited about a product in a long time! Frezyderm is a new brand to the UK but has been going for 30 years (as old as me, 1986 was a great year!) and was established in Greece. It is known for its 'dermocosmetic' products and I was lucky enough to be sent one of their hero products - the Sun Screen Velvet Face SPF 50+.

I am a bit fanatical about applying SPF now - back when I was young I was stupid and applied really low SPF, and I've probably done some awful skin damage as a result. From working in the beauty industry, I have learnt how ageing the sun is. As an 'English rose' I always aim for the highest SPF protection so SPF 50+ is perfect for me.

Now, I can hear you thinking what's so special? It's a facial SPF right? Yes, yes it is. It will protect your face, neck, décolleté, etc from harmful sun rays. What really got me excited was the texture! It says velvet in the name but I hadn't really focused on that. I was expecting the same sun screen white lotion every other product has. Frezyderm is different - this product has the silkiest, most beautiful gel-like texture that effortlessly glides onto skin. No dragging, no white marks, no oiliness. Perfection.

They call it 'a revolutionary Second Skin Technology' which means it will keep your face matte for up to 6 hours, blurs wrinkles and gives the perfect primer base for make-up. I am in love! It is only £20.39 for 50ml and available here.

June Empties

This month I'm a bit low on empties but still a few, great products to recommend to you...

First is the Caudalie Vinosource Intense Moisture Rescue Cream*. I recently wrote about the entire new Vinosource range from Caudalie, and this is the richest one they've launched. I've been using it as a night cream as it is a bit thicker, but it still sinks in quickly and feels really light.

Next is the new Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Butter*. Again, I recently wrote about this new range too. I've got through this quite quickly as I absolutely love it. It smells great (I love anything coconut) but isn't too over the top. The butter is quite thick but feels really luxurious and after a bath it is great to lock in the moisture and make your skin feel healthy and nourished. A winner!

Finally here is the Renunail Nourishing Oil. My cuticles can get quite dry and if I don't look after them I have an awful habit of picking them. So to stop that I've been applying this to my nails and cuticles most evenings (usually watching Love Island!) and have noticed a definite difference. It is an oil so takes a little while to sink in fully but it's a quick and easy way to keep nails and cuticles healthy. I have another bottle on my coffee table ready to go!
