Ragdale Hall SOS Muscle Balm - The Perfect Post-Workout Partner

Anyone else find they get increasingly more achy as they get older?! Then this is for you!

The Ragdale Hall SOS Muscle Balm has been brilliant at soothing my neck and shoulders until I have the time for a massage to properly work out the knots. Really easy to use, it has a bumpy applicator to get the lotion right into your skin and stimulate circulation.

It contains Arnica and Eucalyptus to soothe whilst Peppermint Oil revives, which you can really feel working as soon as you put it on, as it immediately feels cool and tingly. There is no limit to how many times you can use it - I tend to put the balm on my shoulders after a gym work-out when I know they're going to ache later.

Great for anyone who is fairly active and wants something easy to use to soothe muscles which isn't a painkiller going into your system. From Marks & Spencer, it is only £8.50 for 100ml. Check it out here.

Beauty Game-Changers

I was talking to a friend last week about products that changed the beauty world and it was amazing to reminisce so I thought I'd list what I think have been beauty game-changers. I'd love to hear your thoughts too!

Venus razors - I was quite young when these first launched but I remember it being a revelation that a razor could curve around your knees and leave your skin moisturised and soft rather than red raw. I also remember the models on the adverts having impossibly long legs!

Johnson & Johnson Holiday Skin - back in the day when fake tans were AWFUL, this gradual tanner launched and changed pasty English roses like me forever! Now of course fake tans have come on a long way, but this was so easy and buildable that it changed how many people could look tanned without the risk of long as you remembered to wash your hands afterwards.

Bioderma Micellar Water - a product that has been around for ages but one that only those in the know used until fairly recently. I remember first trying this as could not believe how easy make-up came off. As if by magic, no need to scrub for ages or leave skin super dry, I still absolutely rave about these products.

Tangle Teezer - as someone who as a child always hated combing my hair after a shower as my hair became so knotted, I wish these had been around much, much earlier. I didn't quite believe the hype but tried it once and now would never look back.

BB Cream - we seem to have had the full spectrum of alphabet creams since, but BB Creams are where it all started. Having something that wasn't as heavy as a foundation, covered better than a tinted moisturiser and had SPF, BB creams ticked most people's boxes and soon became quite a phenomenon. Pretty much every brand has one now!

Clarisonic - I have to confess I've never been on board with the Clarisonic but I know a lot of people are obsessed, swear by them, and there have been so many copycats that there is definitely something to them. They certainly innovated the skin cleansing market and show no signs of going away anytime soon...

Sheet Masks - a more recent game-changer, the sheet mask comes from Korea (of course!) and removes all the 'washing-off faff' of a usual face mask whilst giving the same benefits. So convenient, I would rarely use a traditional face mask now. They might make you look a bit scary but so worth it.

REN Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift

When the legendary Sali Hughes raves about a product, you know you have to give it a go! That is exactly the case with REN's new eye cream, Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift.

REN is one of my favourite brands of all time. I'm glad they don't seem to have changed even though Unilever has now bought them. The keep skincare simple with beautiful products which really deliver results.

The new Eye Lift is the lightest balm that instantly sinks into the skin. I love the feel of it. Some people have noticed an instant tightening and brightening effect which I have to say I haven't noticed, BUT the skin around my eyes looks and feels a lot healthier in just the week I've been trying it. Also, because it's REN, you know it's not going to irritate the skin at all.

The main ingredients are:

  • Glycine Betaine complex from Tuberose Active Shells improves the eye contour
  • Hyaluronans from Yeast Biofermentation instantly firm, lift and smooth lines and crow's feet
  • Phycocolloids from Microalga plump and keep skin hydrated and comfortable
You only need the tiniest amount so the 15ml will last a while. At £30 it is definitely one of the best eye creams out there at the moment so go check it out at SpaceNK

My Little Bubble Box

Here is what is inside the March My Little Box. I'm not so sure on the theme of this month's box, but the contents are as strong as you'd expect from My Little Box!
A balloon first greets you that says 'Be Wild!' on it to keep the fun going!
A My Little Box brush is also included to banish bad hair days.
Next, the beauty goodies! First is the product on the left, a peeling face mask from Garancia, a French cult favourite apparently that will leave your skin glowing.
Next, something which looks suspiciously like a Beauty Blender but My Little Beauty's own...
Also included this month is a My Little Beauty Lip and Cheek Tint - always love a multi-tasker.
The shade is quite purple so not exactly my sort of colour but very pretty all the same.
We've also got an eyeliner pen inside. It's quite wide in terms of it's felt tip. Might take me a while to get the hang of getting this to a fine point but it's really black so good quality.
I've saved the best for last! A stunning Givenchy Noir Couture mascara. Just look at this packaging...
The wide bristles give extreme volume, I'm really excited to try this one out. And with this product at £25 RRP, this month's My Little Box is a bargain for just £14.95.

#Manicure Monday - L'Oreal Paris Infallible Nail Polish - Fuschia for Life

The sun has inspired me to get bright with my nails! This week I gave L'Oreal's gel-like nail polishes a go.
The L'Oreal Infallible nail polishes come with two shades - one which delivers the colour, the other a super shiny top coat which 'sets' the colour.
Fuschia for Life is a great pinky red colour which certainly brightens up your day! Because it's a gel-like nail polish, don't expect super pigmentation, but two coats do produce a lovely colour. Due to the opaqueness I think this polish looks better on shorter nails.
There are plenty of shades available. Check them out at ASOS for £7.99.

DHC Olive Oil Swabs - The Must-Haves You Never Knew You Needed!

I love discovering new beauty products I never knew I needed and DHC have pulled it out the bag with this one! The DHC Olive Virgin Oil Swabs look quite medical but don't be scared - they are an essential of mine now!

Handbag-friendly and super-hygienic, each swab comes in its own sealed plastic wrap. You can use them in various ways but the best thing I find them for is conditioning my cuticles. I sit on the sofa and put the oil on whilst watching TV - rock and roll!

Because they are quite small, they are really convenient and handy for getting rid of a little bit of mascara I always find gets on my eyelids! So clever.

The swabs are 100% cotton and the olive oil is organic so a really good quality product. I love DHC's Cleansing Oil and this is another brilliant product from the brand.

Available at Feel Unique for only £5.50!

NEW Trilogy CoQ10 Booster Oil - Heard of Glycation?

Trilogy has to be one of my most favourite skincare brands. The Rosehip Oil is one of my all-time faves! So I was very excited to see the latest addition to the range - CoQ10 Booster Oil...

This is the first product from their new Age-Proof range which features a new ingredient, Glycablend, a potent new plant oil blend to combat glycation, a key cause of ageing.

Never heard of glycation? Neither had I! There's a big backlash against sugar at the moment, in terms of diet but also your skin, and it's because of glycation. Basically, it is the process of digesting sugars and it causes skin to lose its suppleness and elasticity. If there was ever a reason to give up/reduce sugar in your diet, this is it!

Glycablend reduces the breakdown of collagen by up to 88.9% with a blend of Pomegranate Seed Oil, Blueberry Seed Oil, Strawberry Seed Oil and Chia Seed Oil.

The Booster Oil is £29.50 and showed an average of a 27% reduction in wrinkles over six weeks - I can't wait to try it! See more info here.

NUDESTIX...the perfect multi-tasker

I love discovering new brands and NUDESTIX is one I've been meaning to try for ages. They are all about easy-to-use make-up crayons to give a fresh-faced nude look.
I recently tried them at a SpaceNK event, and received this tin with one of their lip and cheek crayons called Entice.

It's such a gorgeous colour - nude but without washing you out. A lovely matte finish but also creamy so you don't feel like your lips are the Sahara! The staying power of this lipstick is also brilliant. It's called intense for a reason! I love a multi-tasker and this also doubles up as a subtle blusher.

Available at SpaceNK for £24, give it a go!
