Hot, Hot, HOT

So I used to do a Hot and Not every Friday, but I want this to be a positive space so now just focusing on the BEST beauty news of the week!

Cosmopolitan to launch their own fragrance - it seems inevitable but a magazine is now launching it's own fragrance! Launching 7th September with the price point from £20 they are also looking for 3 women to front the campaign - find out more on Twitter @cosmo_fragrance

St. Tropez 'in-shower' tan - this was unveiled this week and if it works it really will be revolutionary. It activates on clean, wet skin in 3 minutes and will develop gradually. Can't wait to try it out! It launches Monday for £14.50

Chanel to open first spa - at The Ritz of course darrrrrling. Chanel au Ritz Paris will open at the end of the year. You know it's going to be pricey, but the ultimate in luxury!

Finally can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous Zoe Kravitz looks with her new shorter hair...

#IfMenHadPeriods - A Funny Thought with a Serious Message

Today is #MenstrualHygieneDay. At first I thought, ugh gross, then I discovered what is behind it...

WaterAid have created this day with the additional hashtag of #IfMenHadPeriods to highlight the fact that 1.25 billion women around the world don't have access to a toilet during their period. Just let that sink in for a moment...

Imagine. A very serious matter, but made light-hearted by the clever team at WaterAid with the #IfMenHadPeriods - days off work, endless moaning, world ending, and manpons would be a thing!

Please take some time to laugh at this very funny video, and then go here to sign this important petition.

My Life's Little Pleasures

A survey recently came out on the nation's top pleasures in life and it got me thinking what little things make me happy...mostly free things, time to appreciate these. Have a think about what's on your list...

Clean sheets - oh that feeling when you get into a bed with fresh, washing powder-scented sheets. Best sleep EVER!

Having a great make-up/hair day - you know those days - when everything just goes perfectly (usually happens when you haven't tried so hard). Eyeing yourself in the mirror like, Oh yes, it's going to be a gooooood day.

Laughing til you cry - by the end of it, you don't even know what you're laughing about. And it doesn't matter!

Cuddles - oh cuddles, I love them. That simple act can make all kinds of upset/angry/negative emotions melt away. Embrace each other and the power of a cuddle (especially animal cuddles)!

Peeling - anything. Peeling off the top of a yoghurt pot, the lid on a new milk bottle, glue off your fingers, and the ultimate - that bit of plastic off your phone. It's just so satisfying!

Being cosy - this is the ultimate state I aim to be in at all times. I am under a blanket at all possible opportunities, no matter what time of year. Hot baths, putting PJs on when they've been on the radiator, snuggling anywhere and everywhere. Swear I should hibernate, or be a cat...

Deep breathing - after suffering with insomnia a few years ago, meditation was the only thing that actually helped. The power of deep breathing and clearing your mind is incredible. Super popular right now, mindfulness and taking some time out to be 'in the moment' is beautiful

Would love to hear what's on your list!

My Little Box May 2015 - All About Provence!

If I ever wanted to go to Provence before, it is now an obsession fuelled by this month's Little Box!

So much excitement in this box!

Beauty-wise it mostly contains L'Occitane goodies - always such great products from that brand you can't go wrong!

Plus a gorgeous eyeshadow crayon from their own brand, My Little Beauty...

What I find most exciting each month though are the non-beauty items! This month the box contains a 'My Little Provence magnet doll' - lots of fun to be had here...

Then what I love the most is a bangle which you can customise yourself with different embroidery patterns - absolute genius!

Cannot wait to give this a go! And also can't wait for next month's box...by far the best of all the 'beauty boxes'.

#ManicureMonday - Liz Earle Limited Edition Signature Blue Strengthening Nail Colour

Last week I popped down to the King's Road Liz Earle store and to celebrate their 20th anniversary they have launched a new limited edition nail polish in the 'Liz Earle' turquoise colour - very pretty!

So my nails this week are courtesy of Liz Earle, with some beaut nail art of my ring fingers. The manicurist made it look so easy - you just need a rubber sponge, dab different nail polishes on it and blot them on at random - easy peasy. I'll try to give it a go myself and see how I get on!

I haven't tried any of the Liz Earle polishes before, but this lasted extremely well. At £8.50 their nail polishes aren't the cheapest but if they last then worth every penny!

I was surprised they didn't already have this shade so synonymous with the brand. This will be available til they run out, launching this month. See the full range here. They also have some other gorgeous launches which I'll share very soon...

Sephora Haul

A while ago I headed to Barcelona and couldn't resist a trip to Sephora (of course)! I only picked up a couple of bits - one of which I love, the other...meh

The positive side - the Sephora Cream Lip Stain. Absolutely beautiful, glides on effortlessly, super pigmented, nice velvet finish and lasts forever!

All time fave. OK, now onto the not so great...the Nail Patch Art. Absolutely love the 'graffiti' design but my word are they difficult to use. You peel off the right size for each nail and then supposedly simply tear off the edge, file back to a clean line and you're done. Nope. Very difficult to tear off, isn't a clean line and I couldn't wait to get them off.

So a big hit but also a big miss from Sephora this time around. Have you got anything in Sephora recently?

TanOrganic Supports Cancer Research

The eco-certified self-tan range, TanOrganic, is donating money to cancer research charities. What better reason to fake it?!

Sales of their products at nationwide Waitrose stores will go to support various cancer research charities which are so vital and in desperate need of funds.

Also on board is author Emma Hannigan, who has battled cancer 8 times and undergoing treatment for the 9th time - what a fighter. And an unbelievable story of determination, recovery and strength which would not have happened if research into cancer hadn't paved the way for leading treatment.

For every bottle sold in Waitrose, TanOrganic is donating 35p to cancer research.

I just had to share this bit of news with you, as I'm a huge fan of fake tan. It's no longer the streaky, orange mess it once was, and the alternative of skin cancer doesn't bare thinking about. I would much rather fake tan than bake my skin and take that risk. So get down to Waitrose where you can make a contribution to the hugely vital work cancer research charities play.

NEW Nails Inc Luxe Boho

Nails Inc have pulled it out the bag yet again! Their latest range looks beautiful and I cannot wait to try them out.

Nails Inc Luxe Boho is inspired by all the 70s fashion we've seen on the catwalks for SS15 from designers like Pucci, Valentino and Chloe.

There are three new polishes:

Primrose Hill Walk - subtle combination of white, purple, lilac and nude

Portobello Crescent - super summery peach, pink and green

Notting Hill Lane - pink, purple and nude

So pretty. They can be used on their own or over the top of a pale shade of polish. Looks beautiful, I'm going to be giving Portobello Crescent a go very soon and will show you the results!

Available this month, £15 each.

This is two coats and has lasted very well so far. Just £5 either online or in stores.

Celebrating 10 years of label.m with Giles Deacon

label.m turns 10 this year, and to celebrate they have collaborated with the amazing Giles Deacon to create a stunning design for their top three products - Hairspray, Volume Mousse and Texturising Volume Spray.

The design is called 'Silhouette of the Clouds' and apparently came about when Giles wanted to capture the spirit of the 60s girl.

The design is really unique and striking but are the products any good? Why yes. There certainly is a reason why label.m is the official haircare product of London Fashion Week! I don't use hairspray very often, but I need all the volume I can get so the mousse and spray are perfect for me. I would definitely recommend them for all my fellow fine, flat hair girls!

April Favourites

Here is what I've been loving the past month...

First up, the most amazing pistachio body soufflé from Laura Mercier. It feels so indulgent using this, but is great as a treat and smells absolutely amazing. Almost good enough to eat!

Next, ESPA's Optimal Skin ProSerum. This has been a joy to use over the past few months. A really nourishing yet light oil containing so much goodness including Vitamins A and E, and Omegas 3, 6 and 9. It has really helped with my dry skin at the moment.

The Dr. Organic Snail Gel Eye Serum I have also been loving. It isn't gel-like at all (no slime here!), more like a normal eye cream. Really hydrating and with the special formula all Snail Gel products contain, it's been a great addition to my skincare routine.

Finally, the Rimmel Provocalips 16 hr Kissproof Lip Colour. Now, when I saw this I didn't hold out much hope for it being that long-lasting. But I've had it on today and it has lasted ALL DAY! No touch-ups, nothing. You put on the colour and then seal it with a clear gloss over the top which doesn't dry out the lips at all (unlike LipCote) - all in all AMAZING!

What have you been loving recently?
