Burberry Kisses

A few weeks ago I was nominated by the lovely Beauty Queen UK to have a sample of a new Burberry lipstick with #burberrykisses on Twitter.

On offer were various colours and this beautiful shade called Sepia...

It's a gorgeous daytime shade that is really moisturising without being too glossy. They promise up to six hours of hydration for your lips with the new Burberry Kisses range.

Very pleased with the shade of Burberry kisses I chose! See all 28 colours and find more info here.

Did anyone else try a different shade?

My Little Box April 2015

This month is My Little Dream Box. Another amazing box, so glad I went for this 'beauty box' as I just love the fact it includes more than beauty...

Even the box is gorgeous with this beautiful illustration.

Inside is a whole host of goodies...

A stamp with ink in very positive, useful or just lovely French phrases.

The beauty this month is very strong, with the Invigorating 'Wild Cow' Body Lotion from Cowshed, a hair mask from their own-brand My Little Beauty, and a multi-tasking rouge pot from Loved By.

And finally a pretty necklace inside a cloud packaging, with the phrase 'bonne etoile' which means lucky star - so cute!

Each month from My Little Box makes me very happy - can't wait to see what May's box contains...

#ManicureMonday - Nails Inc Alexa Edit Winter Lilac

Apologies for the recent silence - but I'm back!

This week I chose a nail polish from the gorgeous Nails Inc Alexa Edit I found in TKMaxx.

The Winter Lilac nail polish is a beautiful shade for Spring (even if the name suggests otherwise!) - a pale blue-purple hue.

A lovely colour - Alexa Chung chose well! This is two coats of the polish, very easy to apply due to the thicker brush in the new Nails Inc polishes. Perfect, I predict I'll be wearing this a lot...

HEMA Beauty

Last weekend I finally made a trip to HEMA. In case you don't know, HEMA is a Dutch shop, quite similar to Tiger which I also love, and they do everything there - food, drink, homeware, jewellery, etc etc and of course, beauty!

Their beauty game is strong. So many shades of everything and I picked out a gorgeous bold orange nail polish (no.815) plus top coat to try out.

Their nail polishes are only £2.50 so I wasn't sure what to expect quality-wise. I did try out an eyeliner whilst in the store and it wasn't that great in terms of pigment and quite hard. Thankfully, the nail polish was a whole lot better!

Such a beautiful shade - especially for this sunny weather. I wore this last week and it lasted well. It started chipping after a few days but I expect that. I really rate their nail polishes and definitely think I'll be giving more shades a go. I love discovering new brands!

Go check out their stores - I also got some amazing homeware and food! Find all the info here

March Empties

A quarter of the year gone - chill out 2015.

Here are my favourites from March...

Dove's Purely Pampering Body Wash in Pistachio and Magnolia smells so damn good! I must have used this in about two weeks. Only £1.25 from Superdrug at the moment - too good to resist.

Next up, The Body Shops' Camomile Cleansing Butter. I have blogged about this beauty before because I simply love it. Easy to use, effective yet keeps my dry skin hydrated and not feel super-tight after cleansing, it's a winner. £12 in stores and online

I'm very upset this particular section of Oriflame's Concealer Kit (you can tell I'm not fussed by the orange or green part). It's been great for perking up tired eyes every morning. Weirdly, I can only find this on Ebay at the moment...

Finally, HealGel Body. I knew I'd like this from reading other people's reviews so when I received it in my CEW goody bag at the end of February I could not wait to get it on my skin. It has a wonderful gel consistency which sinks into your skin straight away and isn't sticky whatsoever. Another one I'm going to have to restock, though it isn't cheap, £39.50 here

What are your empties this month?
