NEW Champneys Energising Lime Range

New from Champneys, the Energising Lime range is perfect for summer. It launches this week in Boots with 5 products - bubble bath, shower oil, body scrub, hydrating gel and body soufflé. I've been trying the Energising Lime Hydrating Gel.

It smells wonderful! Obviously there is lime in there, but it also have peppermint and orange making it very zesty and refreshing - great to put on first thing in the morning after your shower. The Hydrating Gel has Vitamin E Jojoba beads for extra moisturise.

The texture is great for summer, especially this crazy heatwave we're having at the moment. Really lightweight and moisturising, it isn't sticky at all.

It leaves my skin feeling deeply moisturised but still fresh for these hot days. My only negative about this product is that it takes a little while to sink into the skin, but we're talking a few minutes rather than waiting forever to put your clothes on.

This is £8 from Boots

Fake Bake Instant Bronzer

This is something I have been using for years to get a gorgeous instant glow for nights out. It is only recently that I have been using fake tan for every day. I used to hate the smell, the dirty towels, bed sheets, etc. So something instant that would just wash off when I got home was perfect.

Fake Bake Bronzer is an instant bronze medium tan. They also have a Shimmer one which, as the name suggests, is a little bit sparkly - not for me. This tan goes on so easily, doesn't cake when you blend it in, and any streaks can be buffed away - everything you'd want from an instant tan.

Before...(apologies for the shade, I should have stood in the sun!)

And immediately after...

It's really natural but dark enough to make a difference. I've always used this for nights out, however last week I used it for Hard Rock Calling. Perhaps not a good idea with the sun. In the heat instant tan isn't fun...I'm now using St Moriz   Lotion for Wireless, which I shall review soon, so no danger of it sweating off!

Fake Bake Bronzer Instant Tan is £12 and my tube has lasted me AGES, check it out here

Let me know what you think. Are you an instant tan fan?

Get Beachy Waves with Bumble and Bumble

My hair is naturally wavy which I used to straighten to within an inch of its life when I was younger. Recently though I've been embracing it more, and during summer I try to let my hair dry naturally as much as possible to give it a break from the hairdryer. In my summer Selfridges beauty box, I got the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray which I've been meaning to try for ages.

Bumble & Bumble surf spray has long been a favourite of many beauty buffs to achieve beautiful beachy waves. You simply spray it over the hair as its drying and let it tousle your hair without you having to do anything!

Here is the result:

I love the look, and have been using it for weeks without fail. Another bonus for me is that it makes my hair feel thicker (my hair is horribly fine).

If you like the beachy wave look you can't go wrong with this product. It costs £20.50 from Boots

Timeless Tuesday - The Body Shop Body Butter

The most timeless of all Timeless Tuesdays! The Body Shop body butter turns 21 this year. I can't believe it's been around so long, but then I do remember going into The Body Shop as a little girl and smelling the amazing scented body lotions...

This is the original body butter, which has been copied by countless other beauty brands in many different forms and fragrances. One pot of their body butters is sold every 2 seconds! The Body Shop now has over 20 different varieties to suit all kinds of skin types and needs. As someone with dry skin who has to moisturise constantly I'm always stocking up on these.

Don't you just want to stick your finger right in the middle of it?! There's something so amazing about unspoilt body butter when you first open it that you just want to touch it...maybe that's just me!

The Strawberry Body Butter smells so darn good, you almost want to eat it. Almost. It is actually made using the strawberry seeds which would have been thrown away to make seedless jam - no wastage here!

Happy 21st The Body Shop Body Butter!

What's your favourite?

New from Dermalogica - Multivitamin Power Serum

Whenever Dermalogica bring out a new product I get excited. This one is no exception. The Multivitamin Power Serum is a new addition to their Age Smart range which launched last month.

It includes vitamins A, C and E to improve the texture of your skin, reduce fine lines and even skin tone. It also boosts collagen production to increase cell renewal and reverse the signs of ageing. Big claims. The serum itself is more like a cream than a gel or liquid like most serums.

You only need a tiny bit to cover your whole face and neck. I loved the texture, it is so silky and absorbs into the skin straight away. I have to say I didn't notice an amazing improvement in my skin, but I may be slightly younger than the target market for this product. What I did love is how it made my skin feel straight away - really smooth and deeply moisturised. I've been using it as a serum and primer in one.

It is £59 from Dermalogica direct or a nearby salon stockist.

NOTW: Boutique in Shocking Pink

A perfect shade for this weather! I went to the launch of the new Boutique make-up range at Sainsbury's last week.

There are three new ranges launching in September (more of which to come), with Boutique being the new make-up range with lipsticks, lip glosses and eyeshadows as well as nail polish. Here is some more of the shades on offer:

I managed to get some other shades so will try them and show you shortly. I went for Shocking Pink which seemed to be very popular at the event.

It's a bright girly pink and I love it. The manicurist at the event said it was really easy to apply, and didn't go gloopy in the heat which is a good sign! Two coats gave a beautiful colour.

What do you think?

As well as all the beauty treats on offer I wanted to show you the cute cupcakes for Boutique. YUM.

Neal's Yard Frankincense Intense Launch

Last night I went to Neal's Yard in Covent Garden to learn all about their most exciting launch for years...Frankincense Intense!

It's taken two years of research and development, trips to Kenya to visit the tribe of women who harvest the frankincense and a very promising clinical trial to get to this point. The original Frankincense cream is a firm favourite with their current customers, but they listened to strong feedback asking for a more intense version. This one contains Baobab oil, Gardenia plant stem cells and three peptides to give great anti-ageing results.

Neal's Yard don't normally run clinical trials but they decided it was worth it to give their customers strong evidence of the results. 100% of women who used the cream morning and night saw an improvement in their skin - can't argue with that!

I'm very excited to try it, and will show you the results. It launches in September for £55.

TIGI Catwalk Transforming Dry Shampoo

It takes a lot to sway me away from my beloved Batiste but this dry shampoo from TIGI has done just that.

This is part of their new Session Series collection which is designed by hairdressers to create the best results for your hair. One day last week I needed to dry shampoo my hair to within an inch of its life, and this left it smelling lovely and most importantly not looking grey or chalky!

This has rose and sandalwood inside to create a great scent. It is super lightweight, and really does give Batiste a run for its money.

Laura Mercier Radiance Primer

I love Laura Mercier for their tinted moisturisers so decided to give another product a go, the Radiance Primer.

It's a lovely liquid which leaves skin very soft. I hate anything with too much sparkle but this is just a touch of shimmer which makes your skin look very healthy.

Supposed to be used underneath a foundation, BB cream or tinted moisturiser but if you're having a 'good skin day' then just using this on its own will be enough. It blends really well to give an amazingly natural finish.

You can see that although a little bit tinted when it first comes out of the bottle, the colour disappears as you blend it in, meaning it will suit most skin tones.

If your skin is looking a little bit dull or tired this is a must. You can apply all over the face, or along the cheekbones for a gorgeous healthy glow. It's a beautiful product.

Available for £28 here

Another NOTW: New Benecos Nail Polish in Wild Orchid

So I took off the caviar manicure pretty quickly and tried this gorgeous colour!

I hadn't heard of Benecos until this landed in my inbox but I love discovering a new brand.

It has only just recently launched in the UK but they offer a full range of natural make-up products, including nail polishes. There are 16 different shades to choose from, all free from formaldehyde, camphor and other nasties. So much so that this is actually a vegan nail polish - yes you heard right - vegan! That can only be good for your nails right?

Wild Orchid is a really pretty bright raspberry shade. A great colour for all seasons, I think this will be a classic in my nail polish collection. I wasn't sure what to expect from a vegan nail polish, but the quality and finish is no different to those you normally use. Two coats build to a great solid colour, it dried really quickly, and has lasted well.

I'd definitely recommend this!

NOTW: Ciate Cookies & Cream Caviar

This was free with last month's Marie Claire which a friend gave to me. I've tried Ciate caviar polishes before (see the Jubilee one here) and although they are fiddly it's a very cool look.

This one includes a nude polish with gold, white, clear and iridescent caviar pearls. I'm not really a fan of nude nails (I get too bored) so adding some jazzy beads is great! I wouldn't do the caviar look on all nails, as that might look a bit full on, but I really like it as an accent nail.

The problem with the caviar manicure is that the durability is awful so don't expect this to last long. I have to confess I took it off after one day as some beads had fallen off and it was annoying me. More of a Nail of the Day rather than Week! For a night out though, it's perfect.

If you fancy giving it a go, take a look at the full Ciate caviar range here
