Half Year Resolution Update

I've been trying to detox/look after myself better for over a week now.

I was hoping work might calm down a bit and I'd be less stressed but unfortunately that hasn't happened.

I'm definitely drinking more water, and eating more fruit and veg (though not 5 portions every day unfortunately). I find it really difficult to fit in the gym around work and social things during the week, but I'm really getting into my yoga in the week, and I went to the gym at the weekend.

Also I'm getting a LOT more sleep. Last Friday I slept for 12 hours, and could have slept for longer. Obviously my body needs it!

Alcohol has been tricky...we had work drinks during the week, plus wine on a Friday, a picnic on Saturday which involved more wine, and afternoon tea on Sunday with a champagne cocktail (not to mention all the calories involved!). So this is something I need to really work on! I don't want to cut out alcohol completely (what fun would that be!) but I need to reduce it.

I've been taking multivitamins and do feel much better than I did. My trapped nerve is almost completely better which is a huge bonus. 

I won samples of Upbeat protein drinks for the office which I'm hoping will help with my diet, can't wait to try them.

Overall so far it's been OK but I could do better!
