Royal pharmacy, John Bell & Croyden, have recently stocked the Queen of the Hive range and kindly sent me the lip balm. In this weather it is much needed!
I hadn't heard of the brand before. Queen of the Hive is a natural beauty range which uses Organic Manuka Honey to nourish the skin. The lip balm also contains beeswax, shea butter and cocoa butter to deeply moisturise your lips. Bees seem to be having a bit of a moment with Neal's Yard and Melvita championing them with various campaigns.
It is completely fragrance and colour free which is quite a nice change to all the other balms at the moment. I had really dry and flaky lips a few days ago and I just kept putting this on. I woke up the next morning with completely smooth lips and only a little dryness which went by the next day.
The solid balm will last AGES and it only costs £4! Available from here, they also have a face cream in the range which is much pricier at £52.
They do say if you're allergic to bee stings you can't use it so you have bee-n warned (see what I did there?!)
