Max Factor Flipstick in Gipsy Red

I've jumped on the bandwagon with Max Factor's Flipstick Colour Effects. Available in various shades you have two colours - one as the base lip colour, the second as a highlighter which perfectly compliments and creates a pretty two-tone effect. The colours were selected by Max Factor's make-up artists so you can trust that they will work.

I decided to give Gipsy Red a try. This is slightly out of my comfort zone as I normally go for pinks, or at a push reds, but this is more of an orangey coral colour. I am living on the edge with this!

Both shades have a shimmer to them but go on matte. The base coat is quite a deep, creamy orange hue but not so deep that it looks like something you'd reserve for fancy dress parties!

Then you flip it around and apply the lighter colour which is a pale gold shade and makes the effect much softer. I'm officially an orange/coral lip colour convert! You can obviously blot it to make it more subtle or just apply a small amount of the lipsticks.

I applied the second shade to just the centre part of my lips. They encourage you to experiment by mixing the colours up, using just one shade, or different ones for each lip! Because of my love of pink lips I'm very tempted to give Bloomy Pink a try. Available at Superdrug for £8.49 or Boots have them on discount at the moment for £6.49.
