My Little Christmas Box

Christmas has come early with this box of treasures from My Little Box.

Inside it is jam packed!

You don't often get food inside a My Little Box but isn't that what Christmas is all about?! I'm using a lot of will power to not open this Salted Caramel Spread and just scoop it out with my finger!

Next we have some comforting, spicy tea from Kusmi. This is their limited edition Tsarevna blend.

Next we have some jewellery, this cuff bracelet which is simple yet elegant.

Then take a look at this Christmas candle. I love a candle any time but especially at Christmas, something about that glow!

It's very fresh smelling and has notes of pine as you might expect from 'Winter morning'.

Finally, we have the beauty section of the box.

First, there is a L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil. I'm excited to try this as the oil suggests it's going to be super hydrating. My skin is dry all year round but especially now when it's really cold and central heating zaps all the moisture out.

Next is this super-pretty eyeshadow duo which is My Little Box's My Little Beauty own brand.

It's called Christmas Melody and the shades are Shimmery Taupe (shimmery, not sparkly which is very important) and Deep Chestnut.

Finally, there's a little perfume, Hyperbole by Courreges, a spicy mix of tobacco, tonka, vanilla, cacao and patchouli - it's amazing.

What a stunning box! If you fancy trying it yourself, or My Little Box would make a great gift, find out more at www.mylittlebox.co.uk

Gorgeous Hair Made Easy with KeraStraight

Want gorgeous hair for the party season? This is for you. Don't be fooled by the name, KeraStraight isn't about having straight hair. It's all about having healthy, smooth, manageable hair. Here are a couple of goodies from their product range - the Ultimate Oil and the Rescue Creme.

The Ultimate Oil contains nine oils to deeply nourish, repair and give hair the ultimate TLC. It's really lightweight so doesn't weigh down hair. Plus it isn't greasy at all. I've been using it on damp hair before I dry it, but you can also use a bit to tame down frizz when the hair is dry - perfect.

The Rescue Creme is also good to pop on before you blowdry as it actually has protein inside which is heat-activated. You don't need much so this will last a long time, and it repairs damage, sealing split ends, whilst you dry your hair. My hair needs all the help it can get so I'm loving this.

The KeraStraight Ultimate Oil is £30 and the Rescue Creme is £16.50, available at top salons nationwide as well as Look Fantastic

As well as the products, KeraStraight has a range of salon treatments. I was recently treated to one at Charles Worthington and my hair immediately felt thicker and healthier. Check out the website for more information as you need to have the right treatment for your hair type. My hair is quite fine so some of the treatments would have been far too heavy for me. They contain deeply nourishing proteins to deliver amazing results for weeks after the treatment.

Gatineau Discovery Collection

Still looking for a great Christmas gift? The Gatineau Discovery Collection is only £20 but crammed full of amazing skincare.

Inside you get six of Gatineau's most popular products, so perfect for if you fancy giving the brand a go yourself, or as a present which covers all bases. Who wouldn't want this? Here is what's inside:

The Age Benefit Integral Regenerating Cream, a rich yet light moisturiser perfect for those with slightly drier skin.

The Melatogenine AOX Advanced Rejuvenating Cream is Gatineau's most powerful anti-wrinkle cream, packed full of quality ingredients.

There is also the Melatogenine futur plus anti-wrinkle radiance mask which has gorgeous things inside like Marine Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid for ultimate anti-ageing properties.

The Radiance enhancing gommage is an acid-based exfoliator. I'm a huge fan of acids, as I find the grainy exfoliators are far too abrasive for my face. Can't wait to give this a go.

The Refreshing Cleansing Cream is a cleanser, toner and micro-exfoliator in one - a true multi-tasker! I still need to give this a go to see if the micro-exfoliator means it has grains in there which could be too much for my delicate skin, so I shall report back in further detail!

Finally, you have a Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover which smells of beautiful cucumber.

You get so much for your money here, so the perfect present for perhaps a friend, mum or mother-in-law, it's quite a safe bet that they will like it!

You can get this collection at M&S here.

Stuck for what to get someone for Christmas? These gifts from Yardley are a safe bet as everyone would surely like to receive these.

First is this gorgeous Christmas cracker, housing a Lily of the Valley hand cream.

It has Vitamins A and C plus Shea Butter and Sunflower Oil so amazing hydration, plus this is only £4, an absolute bargain. Check it out here.

I've also got Yardley's English Rose Eau de Toilette and Body Spray Set here too.

These products have a light rose scent, not too overpowering. There are citrus notes in the fragrance plus musk in the base note to fully round out the scent. If you fancy getting it for yourself or a loved one, you can buy direct here.

#ManicureMonday Ciate Paint Pot Duo to Go

I haven't done a Manicure Monday post in a while but this is too pretty not to share with you. Ciate have a few duo nail polish gift sets, perfect for Christmas. I have the amazing Gracie and Antique Brooch set here.

Amazing Gracie is a pale pink polish, but it's Antique Brooch that is the real star of the show here. It's the most gorgeous gold/rose gold sparkle.

Here are my nails with two coats of Amazing Gracie - it's fairly translucent so if you wanted to use it just on it's own you may need three coats to get an even colour. Then it's one coat of Antique Brooch over the top which completely transforms the look and has meant I can't stop admiring my nails...

This is available from M&S for just £10 - a perfect Christmas gift, Secret Santa, or for yourself - I'm definitely keeping this one!

Mii Couture Eye Colour

Mii is a brand I'm not all that familiar with. They say that they are all about wearable, beautiful make-up at affordable prices. I can get on board with that! My first dip into the Mii pond is this eyeshadow palette...

This is the 'baroque' four shadow palette which is only £22.95.

From left to right the shades are called Chantilly, Chiffon, Damask and Baroque. Here they are swatched:

As you can see Chantilly is very hard to even make out, but it works as a beautiful base to even out your skin tone, or as a subtle highlighter. The next two, Chiffon and Damask, are beautiful nude/pinks. The problem with wearable shades is they are classic rather than wow. However, Baroque really is the star here:

Pictures don't really do it justice. Baroque has a kind of foil texture that blends to a very creamy sparkle. You only need a little bit and if you got a tiny brush and wet it, this would make a gorgeous eyeliner, especially for the Christmas party when you can go all-out with sparkle!

Mii Cosmetics have really impressed me. Check out this palette and the rest of the extensive range here.

My Little Box November 2016

As the nights get longer and the days colder, thoughts turn more to cosy beds and lots of sleep! This is the theme of this month's My Little Box.

So what do you need for the best night's sleep? An eye mask of course!

It's not as wide as my Holistic Silk eye mask which really does cut out all light, but this would definitely work this time of year when the mornings are hardly bright!

Next there is the cutest little moon dish, perfect for jewellery, change, etc.

Finally, let's check out the beauty part of this month's box...

My Little Box have provided their own My Little Beauty Make-Up Remover Jelly. The texture of this is interesting - really light and not greasy at all. I'm looking forward to trying this more.

Then we have a sample of the Yves Rocher Secret D'Essences Accord Chic perfume. It is very musky and sexy so perhaps for when you're not sleeping in bed ;)

Finally, we have a true multi-tasker from Garnier. Their PureActive 3 in 1 is a wash, scrub and mask in one depending on how you use it and leave it on for. I haven't tried this yet but it promises you waking up to beautiful skin so I'll report back soon!

Looking forward to the next one - hopefully something Christmassy for December!
